I will be away and spending the weekend with my very own mother. It's an extra special Mother's Day this year because it is my 1st as an actual mom! I can't even begin to explain all the joy that our little girl has brought to my life but i'll try to share just a few.
I became a mom to hear the little coos she had when she was just a tiny baby.
I became a mom to watch her little butt scrunch up when I pulled her carefully out of her carseat after a trip to grandma and grandpas.
I became a mom to have my baby fall asleep on my chest just to carry her up to her crib for a good nights sleep.
I became a mom to watch her suck her middle fingers to reveal her rock star pose.
I became a mom to see all the smiles and hear all the giggles time and time throughout the day.
I became a mom to hear the 1st time she said mama and dada.
I became a mom to watch her scoot backwards without a clue that she can actually go forwards.
I became a mom to see my husband become even more sensative and loving with each glance at his little girl.
I became a mom to feel and see her little chompers breaking through the gums.
I became a mom to love my baby like i've never loved anything before.
These are just a few of the things I have experienced since becoming a mom. I hope that all you new moms out there (and the old pros too!) can remember and cherish all the sweet little moments of your children growing up.
When I was a baby I had a strawberry bathing suit so when I saw this suit I HAD to get it for her! Note the adorably chunky legs!

aaawwww Jill I cried when I read what you just wrote about being a mom, you couldn't have said it better. I have felt all those things and more..and the babein suit is the cutest thing, of coarse the one you had was a 2 piece with 2 big strawberries strategiously placed !!!!! LOL and I sure do agree with Jeff's comments...you are a wonderful, loving mom and Jeff is a great, loving dad ! Happy Mother's day !!!!
