Two Ring Photography: 25 Things About Me.

I filled this out on my facebook account and thought it might be an interesting thing for my clients to see to get to know me as a person better. Here are 25 random things about me.

1. I played the drums since middle school (although not anymore) but went on to marry an amazing drummer.

2. My daddy always told me to choose a profession that would make me happy for the rest of my life. My mommy was always an excellent example of a stay at home mom. I remember long ago thinking I wanted the best of both my parents examples. I think I have found that AND become quite successful at both and that makes me incredibly happy.

3. I'm a saver more than a spender. I love seeing the money i've saved in our account. It makes me proud to look around our home knowing everything we have we earned OURSELVES.

4. I lived in Kalamazoo for 3 years and studied business. I didn't really like Kalamazoo, i'm glad to be in Lansing.

5. We have 2 cats, Trouble and Lupe. Trouble was named after Dylan and Toni's cat on Beverly Hills: 90210 and Lupe is named after Tom Izzo's wife, Lupe.

6. I love MSU basketball. Mostly because I have a slight crush on their basketball coach.

7. My daughter loves The Imagination Movers, so does her mom.

8. I'd never even thought of photography as a career until 2003. I'm surprised I wasn't in panic mode to find the perfect stay at home career prior to that.

9. I met the man I was going to marry at 20. At the time I thought that was WAY too young but I couldn't let him go. He's too good of a man. 7 1/2 years later here we are, still together and still in love.

10. I love cooking and wish I had more time for some serious recipes.

11. My 2nd cousin (who is my age) lives in Arkansas and is also a photographer (lifeasaphoto.com).

12. I work WAY too hard. I'm a people pleaser and can't help but try to perfect everything I do. I'm trying to lay off this year and enjoy my family and social life more.

13. I look at my daughter sometimes and can't believe that she is mine. It's such an amazing blessing in life.

14. I really do love taking pictures. It's not just a job to me. The people I get to meet and work with are wonderful. It's such a happy time in their lives. How could you not love that?!

15. I really miss my best friend who lives in New York. I rarely see her.

16. I LOVE going up north to my husband's families cottage. It's the best place to relax. I actually find time to read when i'm there which I love. Usually a good Nicholas Sparks or Sophia Kinsella book ends up in my hand.

17. You would not like shopping with me because i'm very picky about what I buy and usually go home empty handed from a trip to the mall.

18. Target is a different story. I can spend a lot of cash in that place.

19. I love going to the movies with my girlfriends. I never thought I would be the girly movie type but these days I just can't help it.

20. I was a HUGE tom-boy when I was younger. Sports and baseball cards were life.

21. I LOVE games. Monopoly is my world. I can't for the life of me get my husband to play it with me.

22. We will have one more baby. Maybe next year.

23. I miss going fishing with my dad. We did that a lot when I lived at home. We don't now that I'm not over there much. Maybe we shall plan an outing this summer.

24. I read the same book 25 times a day. It makes my daughter smile.

25. I love my life. I couldn't have ask for a better outcome. An amazing husband, an awesome career, and a sweet little girl-life is good.
